An early-access service

Scribblespace is in early access. Features may change, and some things you might expect aren’t there yet: there is no password reset or email verification, for example.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that it will never lose data.

Your account

You need an account to use Scribblespace, created with Google or with an email address and password. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Because there is no password reset yet, choose a password you won’t forget.

If you think someone else has access to your account, tell us at support@scribblespace.app straight away.

Your content

You own the notes, drawings and images you put in Scribblespace. We don’t claim any ownership of them.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, copy it between our servers and your devices, keep it in sync, and display it to you and to the people you share it with. That permission ends when your content is deleted from the service, apart from backup copies that persist for a short time.

You are responsible for what you add, and for having the right to add it. The privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Workspaces and sharing

Notebooks can be shared in workspaces. A workspace’s owners and admins control its membership: they decide who joins, who leaves and what role each member has. Notebooks you share in a workspace stay with that workspace, even if you later leave it or delete your account.

Acceptable use

If you find a security problem, please report it to support@scribblespace.app rather than exploiting it.

Keep your own backups

Scribblespace keeps copies of your notes on your devices and on our servers, but early-access software can have bugs. Use the export in the app to save a complete backup of your notes, images and drawings, and do it regularly for anything important.

Suspension and leaving

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and remove content that does. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

You can stop using Scribblespace at any time. To delete your account and data, email support@scribblespace.app. Export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Scribblespace is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived or limited by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Scribblespace grows. If we make material changes, we will announce them before they take effect and update the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using Scribblespace after that, the new terms apply.
