Work offline
You can lose the connection mid-sentence and keep writing. Every notebook you’ve opened on a device is saved on that device, images included, and your changes sync as soon as you’re back online. Nothing is lost if you close the app in the meantime.
Before you go offline
- Open each notebook you’ll need while you’re still connected, and wait for All changes synced in Settings. Only notebooks this device has already downloaded are available offline.
- On the web, open Scribblespace once while online in that browser. After that, it loads without a connection.
What works offline
- Reading, searching and writing scribbles
- Adding images: they’re kept on your device and upload when you reconnect
- Moving scribbles to Trash and restoring them
- Switching between notebooks this device already holds
- Exporting the open notebook from this device’s copy
What needs a connection
- Opening a notebook for the first time on this device
- Creating, renaming or deleting notebooks
- Inviting people, changing roles and other Team changes
- Changing who can open a scribble, and opening shared links
- Deleting scribbles forever
- Exporting a whole workspace, or all your workspaces
When you’re back online
Scribblespace reconnects by itself and sends only what changed while you were away, then brings in your teammates’ changes. If a teammate edited the same scribble, both sets of edits are kept. See When two people edit at once.
