Where your data is stored and who can see it
Your scribbles are stored in two places: on Scribblespace’s servers in the United States, and on each device where you open them. If you use Scribblespace from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and stored there.
On Scribblespace’s servers
The servers, database and file storage are run by our hosting and storage providers, who handle the data on our behalf only to provide that infrastructure. This copy is what lets your notebooks sync across your devices and with your team.
On your devices
The apps keep a full copy of each notebook you open, in your browser’s or device’s storage, so it works offline. It stays on that device. Clearing the site’s data in your browser, or the app’s data on your device, removes it, including any changes that haven’t synced.
Who can see what

Scribblespace doesn’t sell your personal data, show ads or use tracking cookies. Your information is shared with anyone else only when the law requires it.
Getting a copy or deleting your data
- Download everything you can open at any time with Export your data.
- To delete your account and data, or to see, correct or get a copy of what’s held about you, email support@scribblespace.app from the address on your account. See Delete your account.
- Notebooks you shared in a workspace with other people stay with that workspace, so its other members keep access to them after your account is deleted.
