How the free trial works
Every account gets a 14-day free trial with every feature, and no card is needed. It starts when you create your account, which also creates your first workspace.
What the trial includes
- Up to 5 people who can edit: owners, admins and editors. Invitations to edit that haven’t been accepted yet count too.
- As many viewers as you like. Viewers are free during the trial and after it.
- 10 GB of storage for scribbles, drawings and images.
- Every feature, on the web, Android and Linux.
Workspaces you create later share the same trial, so making another workspace never restarts the clock. A workspace you’re invited to has its own trial and plan, chosen by its owners and admins.
See how many days are left
The workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar shows the days left next to your role, for example Trial · 9 days left. Settings → Plans shows the exact end date. In the last three days, owners and admins also see a reminder above the workspace; Later hides it for the rest of the day.
Subscribe early, lose nothing
You can choose a plan at any time. If more than two days of the trial are left, the rest of it stays free and the first charge comes when it ends: the Choose a plan section on the Plans page shows the date billing starts. See Upgrade to Pro or Team.
When the trial ends
If nobody has chosen a plan, the workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted: everyone can still read, share and export everything in it. An owner or admin can choose a plan in Settings → Plans whenever they’re ready, and editing comes back straight away.
