Write your first scribble
Press CtrlN anywhere in the app, or click + next to Scribbles in the sidebar. The new scribble opens in a tab, ready for its title.
- Create a scribble with CtrlN or the + (New scribble) button in the sidebar. On a notebook’s page you can also click Blank scribble.
- Type a title, then press Enter to move into the body.
- Write. Start a line with
#for a heading,-for a list or- [ ]for a to-do, and the formatting appears as you type. - Press / on any line to insert a table, image, drawing, diagram and more.
That’s it: there’s no save button. Every change is saved on your device as you type and syncs as soon as you’re online. CtrlS saves on this device right away if you want to be sure.
Good to know
- A new scribble you close without writing anything is discarded, so you won’t collect empty pages.
- To rename a scribble later, click its title and type. You can also press F2 when you’re not typing in a text field, or choose Rename from its ⋯ menu.
- Type @ to link another scribble or mention a teammate. See Link scribbles together.
- Paste or drop an image straight into the page. See Add images.
- On a phone, tap + (New page) at the top of an open scribble, or + next to Scribbles in the list.
